Privacy policy.

This privacy policy explains how SEDC AG processes personal data when operating this website. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

2. Principle

We process only as much personal data as necessary. This website does not use any analytics or advertising tools, does not set any tracking cookies and does not embed any third-party fonts, maps or scripts that would transfer data when a page is accessed.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is operated on our own servers in Switzerland. When the website is accessed, technically necessary information is logged for a short period: IP address, date and time, the address accessed, browser type and status code. These data are used exclusively to ensure secure and stable operation (e.g. to defend against attacks) and are deleted after 30 days at the latest, unless they are required to investigate a security incident.

4. Contact form and email

If you write to us via the contact form or by email, we process the information you provide (name, company, email, phone, message) in order to respond to your enquiry. The enquiry is transmitted to our mailbox info@sedc.ch and stored on our server. We delete enquiries as soon as they have been dealt with and no retention obligations prevent this, and after two years at the latest. To protect against misuse, we briefly store a non-reversible identifier derived from your IP address (for a maximum of one hour).

5. Newsletter

We require your email address for our newsletter. Registration takes place using the double opt-in procedure: after you have entered your address, we send you an email containing a confirmation link. Your address is added to our mailing list only after you have clicked this link. Unconfirmed registrations are deleted automatically after three days. As evidence of your consent, we store the time of registration and of confirmation.

We send the newsletter using the Mautic software on our own server in Switzerland; no data are transmitted to external newsletter services. Mautic can record whether and when a newsletter was opened and which links were clicked, in order to improve our offering. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the unsubscribe link in each issue or by email to info@sedc.ch; your address will then be removed from the mailing list.

6. Videos (YouTube)

Our client videos are stored on YouTube. They are only loaded when you click “Play”. Only then are data (including your IP address) transmitted to Google Ireland Ltd. or Google LLC (USA); for this purpose we use the youtube-nocookie.com variant. Google’s privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Map

The location map on the contact page is our own graphic based on OpenStreetMap data and is loaded from our server. Only when you click on the map or on “Plan route” does the website of the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom) open.

8. Links to social networks

We link to our profiles on Facebook, X and YouTube. These are simple links; data are only transferred when you click on them and visit the respective platform.

9. Disclosure and disclosure abroad

We do not disclose personal data for advertising purposes. Personal data are disclosed abroad only in the cases mentioned above (YouTube, when accessing linked services) and only at your instigation.

10. Your rights

You may at any time request information about the personal data we process concerning you and request their rectification, erasure or delivery, and object to their processing. To do so, please contact info@sedc.ch. You also have the option of contacting the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch).

11. Data security

Data are transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS). We protect our systems with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

12. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy. The version published on this website at any given time applies. Last updated: September 2026.
